LIBRARY GUILD

The Pell City Library Guild was formed in 1993. Incorporated and with 501 (C3) status by 1995, the Guild is an active and visible advocate for the local library. The Guild is a past recipient of the Alabama Library Association’s prestigious Award-of-Merit for it’s outstanding support and service to the Pell City Library.

You have three ways to contribute to Become a Supporter:

     Purpose:

The Guild assists the library in fund raising, programs, services, advocacy and long-range strategic planning. We support popular, quality programs such as “Wild and Wonderful Wednesday” (well known authors, artists and performers), senior computer classes, story time for preschoolers, adult and children’s summer reading programs, teen book club, family movie nights and more.

     Become a Member:

Anyone in the community with an interest in the purpose of the group is invited to join. The Guild year begins in January, but we welcome new members at any time.

DONATIONS

Donations to the Pell City Public Library help maintain the excellence of the library’s collections. We accept donations of any amount, and you may apply your donation to the purchase of specific collections. 

You may also honor the special people in your life through a memorial or honorarium to the library. All gifts are acknowledged to the honoree or appropriate family.

You can:
• Make a donation to the general fund of the library
• Make a donation in memory or honor of a loved one
• Make a 501(c)(3), or tax deductible, donation to the Library Guild by clicking here.

TEEN VOLUNTEERING

If you  are looking for a way to serve your community, consider volunteering for the library.  To volunteer contact the Youth Librarian about T.A.B. (Teen Advisory Board).

We need people to help with the following:
• Shelving books — returning books to the shelves
• Shelf reading — reading the shelves to make sure books are placed in the proper order
• Assist with displays and decorations
• Help with Programs
• General cleaning
