Adult Events

 

Pell City Library offers an interesting array of adult programming which is both entertaining and informative.

 

Wild & Wonderful Wednesday:

This ongoing series offers a wide assortment of programs featuring popular authors, talented musicians, famous artists, compelling storytellers, and informative speakers. Scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month at noon, come expecting to be entertained and enlightened. Programs are free and open to the public.

Book Clubs:

The library sponsors two book discussion groups — one that reads mysteries exclusively — and another that prefers a variety of genres. Enjoy lively discussions and the chance to meet new friends. The mystery group meets on the second Thursday of each month, and the other on the fourth Thursday of each month. Each group meets for an hour, beginning at 12:00 noon. Please note: Each group chooses the selections read. The library orders the selections free of charge through the inter-library loan program.

Twisted Stitches:

Bring your stitching/fiber-arts projects (knitting, crochet, quilting, needlepoint, etc.) to Meeting Room 2, at the Library/Municipal Complex. Enjoy light refreshments, conversation, and camaraderie!  Twisted Stitches is on the 2nd Saturday of every month (10:00am-12:00pm). Free Event! All Welcome!

Zen Days on Wednesdays:

Any age! Yoga, combined with meditation, is a great way to build strength and relax. So Moms, Teens, Small Children, & Seniors can all benefit from this program! Every Wednesday @ 5:00.

Special Events:

Watch for special events, scheduled on an ongoing basis, featuring authors, storytellers, chefs, and special speakers on a variety of subjects. The times and dates vary but include, daytime, evening, or weekend events. These often occur as a supplement to our regularly scheduled programs.
