Join a Book Discussion Group!

Enjoy reading books and discussing them all year long by joining one of the library’s book discussion groups.  If you enjoy suspense and mystery, murder and mayhem, you might want to link up with the Mystery Book Club that meets on the second Thursday of each month at noon in the library.  If you prefer to read all types of genres, and enjoy a pleasant mix of best-selling fiction, biographies, classics, and more, you might join the library’s 4th Week Book Club that might on the fourth Thursday of each month at noon.  Expect lively discussions, lots of laughter, light refreshments,  the chance to meet new friends.  Books for discussion are chosen on an ongoing basis by the group and are ordered free of charge through the interlibrary loan program.

Pell City Imagination Library

As a community based organization we make the program accessible to all preschool children in the Pell City School District. The Imagination Library Pell City maintains this program via sponsorships and donations, pays for the books and mailing, promotes the program to the community, then registers the children Then the Dollywood Foundation takes over and manages the system to deliver the books to the home. You can find out more of the operational details on other pages in this website – so what are you waiting for! Hundreds of communities are providing books to hundreds of thousands of children. Accelerated Reading Books

We try to work with the school library media specialists to make Accelerated Reading Books available for students at our library.

We do not have all the books that the schools have requested but we are trying to increase our selection, as we are able.

You may check our catalog and search under study programs for a list of our accelerated readers.
